She offers life cycle services such as baby namings, weddings, and funerals, and writes a weekly blog as SRQJew. Many of her essays have appeared as Op-Ed pieces in the daily newspaper, the Sarasota Herald Tribune. Several of her prayers have been published in anthologies and prayer books.

She has worked extensively with individuals at the end of life, often serving as a death doula for dying people and their families.

Rabbi Jennifer is a vibrant and passionate teacher, storyteller, writer, speaker, and spiritual guide. She has never claimed to be a cantor, but she loves to sing in services. She has extensive experience as a teacher of people of all ages and stages of life.

She was ordained as both a Rabbi and Spiritual Director by ALEPH: The Alliance for Jewish Renewal in January 2017. She earned an MA in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary in May 2006. She also holds a BA in journalism.

She has two adult daughters and currently shares her home with an elderly rescued dog.

Her favorite things are chocolate, Judaism, largish dogs, antique rocking chairs, and her kids. Not necessarily in that order.
