Get this – there’s a program on the Discovery channel tonight called “Curiosity: Did God Create the Universe?”
Are they kidding?
Apparently not. Here’s the description from the Disc. channel’s website:
Are the earliest moments of existence a question for science? Or religion? The world’s most famous living scientist takes on the ultimate question: Did god [sic] create the universe?
Presumably they’re talking about Stephen Hawking. I might be compelled to watch, just because I think it’s bizarre. Maybe it’s a ratings thing…. but it’s the middle of August. Weird. Will keep you posted.

It is not bizarre. . .it is not a ratings thing.. .it is not weird and it is not because we are in August and tomorrow night is Tsha Bav. . It is a connundrum that any scientist who believes in God faces. . . the creation of our universe.. .If you accept the laws of thermodynamics – particularly the first one . . then you have to wonder whence came the matter that was the source for the big bang? Perhaps this program can elucidate.
